EXCURSIONS | KLEFTIKO

For those of you who wish to discover the inaccessible West side of Milos, you will be fully rewarded by the trip from Adamas to Kleftiko and back. The western part of our island is unexploited as its bigger part belongs program NATURA 2000. Together we will explore the unique beauty of nature, will swim in magical caves, and will learn the history of these magical places.

Starting from Adamas we pass through the colorful fishing villages of Skinopi, Klima, Areti and Fourkovouni to admire them up close. It is the turn of Arkoudes, rocks carved by the waves that take the form of a bear and various other animals, to guess with which other animals they look like! Then we head to the West of the island where we first meet the old manganese mine at Cape Vani.

We make our first swim in Kalogries, a quiet cove with a small beach and emerald waters. Leaving Kalogries and passing very close to the mainland, we reach the Cave of Sykia whose roof has collapsed. With our dinghy we will enter the cave to swim and admire its uniqueness! Next stop is the enchanting Kleftiko, the old hideout of pirates. There we will swim, we will explore the caves with our dinghy and will have our lunch while gazing the wonderful landscape of Kleftiko. After, we return to the port of Adamas to end this trip with the most pleasant mood and memories!
